Walk on the Castle Steps, Old Town, (Stare Mesto)

Below are some friends we made on our walk up the castle steps:
Guess who? I wonder if she regrets this one?
I guess we are already friends with these people...Thanks for taking the photo, Georgia. (She's developing her shutter-bug skills with her Christmas camera. Good thing Santa was planning for this trip.)
Finn loved this statue. He hopes to be a troubador at some point in his career. He has already played his guitar downtown in Boise with a hat for change, and made some cash! I don't think the stone one will make much though...
We were a little afraid of this guy at first. The gold mask is creepy.
But you can see he warmed right up to the Udall charm. (The few crowns deposited in his "hat" didn't hurt.)
It's interesting that the transients all maintain this posture--sometimes with their heads completely on the ground, their hand holding the cup outstretched (depending on how cold it is...). When we passed this one, Pearl was yelling loudly, "There's another beggar! Can't we pleeeaaase give him a crown?" We told her to go ahead and gave her some change. Of course, then she was afraid to put it in the cup; once she did, he said in perfect English "Thank you." And then mumbled something profusely...Pearl just walked slowly away. She was watching for him on the way back, but he wasn't there.
